Back to Shooting Birds

Recently most of my photography has been taking landscapes. It’s nice to be at home and taking pictures of some of my favorite birds. I captured this several minutes ago just at the sun was going down. I severely underexposed this and used a very short duration flash to pull the bird out of the background. Using that technique is my favorite way to get an image that has a clean dark background without doing any special post processing.
