For Amber Waves of Grain – Katharine Lee Bates

This work week could best be described as two great days of customer visits book-ended by two long days of air travel, finished up by a day of compiling notes into a research report. My travel was to the Canadian Prairies, specifically in the area surrounding Regina. This area is comprised of wide open spaces and very large grain fields. The crops are just past peak flowering and starting to mature for harvest. While driving to my last stop, it occurred to me that Katharine Lee Bates could have easily been writing about Canada too.

Oh Beautiful for Spacious Skies, For Amber Waves of Grain – Katharine Lee Bates

I encourage you to visit if you’ve never been there. The people are great and the scenery is beautiful.

Thanks for visiting the blog, hope you enjoyed – John
