Mammoth Hot Springs

As immense as Mammoth Hot Springs is, the small details and the subdued earth tone and pastel colors were what drew my attention. This image is of some of the lower pools on the southeast side of the spring. During my visit to the springs this past fall, the water flow was very low and that low water flow tested my ability to find interesting compositions. I believe that the low volume of flow made the texture of the mineral deposits more pronounced.
